Economic Development and Tourism
Economic Development and Tourism staff manage activities related to overall corporate marketing and communications, special events and sports tourism, promotions, website development and public relations. A primary focus of the staff is working in collaboration with the Devon and District Chamber of Commerce to support local shops, restaurants, retailers, entrepreneurs and business operators. Projects also include land sales, residential and business development initiatives.
High profile projects include partnership with the Devonian Way, coordination of the Downtown Vitalization Project, the Economic Development and Tourism Board and establishing Devon has as a first-class tourist destination.
